4. Select compatible Specials (Shadow Monarch vs. Edo Tensei)
When rolling for Specials and Curse Techniques, focus on compatibility and active combat utility rather than aesthetic cutscenes:
- Shadow Monarch (S-Tier): Highly recommended. The active ability Ruler’s Authority (Mastery 50) provides top-tier crowd control, and the passive Crimson Knight increases authority damage by 15% while reducing incoming sword and physical damage. Crucially, it does not conflict with active character transformations.
- Edo Tensei (B-Tier): While popular, it is highly restricted because it cannot be active at the same time as character transformations, limiting your damage scaling.
- Limitless (C-Tier): The Infinite Void domain looks impressive but inflicts 0 damage; avoid selecting this as your primary technique for active boss farming.
